A day at the vet's office

Yesterday, both dogs spent the day at the vet having their teeth cleaned and other orifices of their bodies probed. It was not a good day to be a dog. Addie and Roscoe both came through ok with a few observations from the vet to bolo for. Addie seems to have recovered perfectly from the anesthesia but Roscoe is not quite his normal self. It's possible his teeth might hurt although he ate his food with the same amount of gusto as he normally shows. Hopefully, when I come home from work today he will be his old self.

The wall hanging I am working on for the silent auction at the Sew In. Still needs to be quilted.

The sewing storage area. All fabric is sorted by color and labeled in plastic bins. All notions and other sewing accessories are labeled as well. Right now, it needs a little clean up.

I am lucky to have a room dedicated only to sewing. It might not be the biggest or fanciest but it serves my needs.

It's Friday!

Hooray! The weekend is almost here. Got plenty of chores to keep me busy and then have to help man the ASG booth on Saturday at the Quilt & Craft Festival. I'm not as excited about the Festival as I have been in past years. Maybe it's too much of the "same ol', same ol'" I expect I will go a little early to give the vendors a pass by. I might even end up buying something. We'll see.

New Office

I will soon be moving into new and larger digs at work. For the past 6 years, I have been in the smallest office in the firm. Now, I am moving into one of the biggest offices that is even bigger than some associate's offices. Of course, there is no window but beggars can't be choosers.

Big girl bag

I bought this design last year but it never seemed to stitch out correctly. Using a new machine and making a few other changes I made a test stitch out which was so successful, I turned it into a tote bag.

Making great progress with the wall hanging I will enter into the silent auction at the Sew In, which by the way, is completely sold out. Good thing I got my downpayment in.

Thoughts on chenille

Just finished my first chenille blanket. Was clueless as to what I was doing but I'm fairly happy with the outcome. I'll be trying another one but I would like more of the color layers to show through. Not too sure how to accomplish that.
