Another purse/tote

Marge makes sock monkeys. All kinds of sock monkeys but she doesn't make totes and she doesn't have an embroidery machine so I thought I would make her a tote with sock monkeys on it. I was very happy with the results and she was too.

Trying times

Right now, I have heavy burdens weighing me down but tomorrow will be a better day.

1. My aunt has inoperable cancer that she is refusing any life lengthening treatment for.

2. My mom goes to Barrows Neurological Institute today to meet with a brain surgeon because her vertebrae is pressing on her brain which could lead to loss of speech and the loss of her ability to swallow. She says surgery is not an option.

3. My vet who I love, worship and adore is moving his practice to Colorado. I'm not sure where I will go but if you knew him you would know why this is so devastating.

On the other hand, I am happy, healthy, have a home that is in no danger of being foreclosed, have a job and have a good man (plus two good dogs). How can I even complain?

A fun ride

Here was a fun ride at Disneyland's California Adventure. It's called The Twilight Zone-Tower of Terror and it trys to replicate scary events that occured when some hotel guests entered the hotel's elevator. We were taken into a little room and then strapped into benches as we entered the elevator. Then we were taken up, up, up, to who knows how many feet off the ground and then we were dropped, free fall. That happened a few times. It was really fun but scary. One girl had to back out of getting on because she was quite scared.

Big Bucks

This particular little painting by Van Gogh cost The Getty $5.9 million smackers.
