Another new bag

This time, I put the embroidery on the outside instead of hiding it inside. I love the muted safari fabric. This one I have put up on my etsy site and it's my goal to get three a month done to put up for sale. As always, click on the pic for a larger and clearer picture.

Employee lounge

The firm is undergoing a remodel and makeover and one of the things that has changed is the employee lounge.  First, it was moved from the third floor to the second floor and is now located in the space previously held by a majority of the library.  But since everything is electronic now, I guess the firm decided it no longer needed to maintain so many books and did away with them for a much larger and much nicer employee lounge.
So the first stop when entering the lounge is the Starbuck coffee machine that will grind it's own beans, while you wait.  And as always, click on the picture for larger more clear photos.






Then, there is one of the two dishwashers, sinks, refrigerators and vending machines.  Pretty top notch.


Then, to the left is the "bar" seating area that overlooks Central Avenue.  In addition, the whole lounge has wireless internet so you can bring your iPad or whatever.

Another seating area overlooking the buildings main lobby.  You can't tell from the photo but these chairs swivel and have little writing desks attached to them.



Overlooking the corner of Central and Washington that currently has the man-made ice skating rink blocking all of Central Avenue and MAKING IT HELL TO GET OUT OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA... but I digress.

Downton Abbey

In a little more than a week, one of my favorite shows will be starting its fourth season...Downton Abbey. And I am kind of giddy.

And just in time, my friends gave me a couple of on point gifts for Christmas ( oh they know me so well).

First, a tote bag kit from my friend, Lynn, complete with Downton Abbey fabric.





Next, some wine from my friend Patti and I think it will need to be something pretty special that will get me to open this bottle.

Newest handmade bag

Here is my newest bag that I got the idea for when I was at the gym. I think the fabric is very cool because it is so gothic and appropriately called, "Nevermore."

I wanted to do a messenger type bag and since they have flaps, I got the great idea to embroider something hidden that would remain so until you had to get into the bag. And, here it is:

I have been working on some UFOs recently and found a Christmas wall hanging that needed to be finished since I had stopped working on it last Christmas. So it was the fist thing out of the UFO pile. And here it is finished and part of my holiday decorations.



This purse was not a UFO but I had the fabric for a little bit and since I really liked the fabric, I decided to quickly stitch this up. It came out looking exactly as I wanted it to.
