The Mother Lode

Today, I hit the mother lode at my favorite sewing store, 35th Avenue Sew & Vac. Every month, 35th has a special "black bag" event. First, you have to have purchased a black bag for $5 and every month you get an email notice telling you when the event will be for that month.

The first time I went, I was disappointed because it was such a jam up and the deals didn't seem all that good. But today, was a different story. 35th was having a Mardi Gras/gambling sort of theme so by playing three different games, it was determined what things you could win or get discounts on.

This is what I got:

$6 off my total bill
Free spool of Robinson Anton thread
10 pack of Schmetz Universal needles
One free pack of embroidery designs valued at $30 (buy one get one free - Anita Gooddesign)
One free pack of note paper
6 free fat quarters
One free bottle of sewing machine oil
$25 worth of free fabric with the purchase of a $50 design card (another Anita Goodesign)

It was a lot of fun and I came away with a lot of good stuff.
