Prescott is home to the worlds oldest rodeo held every 4th of July. We took a few days off to come up and relax. I've not been to a rodeo for several years and I'm somewhat conflicted by them but that is a topic for a different day. But, in conjunction with the rodeo, the Phippen Museum of Western Art had an exhibit dedicated to women of the rodeo. The women's clothing was a big part of the exhibit and I read that they had to invent their own outfits and came up with the split skirt which was banned in many towns. As per the sign below, they even brought their sewing machines on the circuit.
