MIM

We saw another great concert last night at the MIM.  Such a wonderful museum and excellent place to see concerts of all types. I don't think I can remember every concert we have seen there but the list includes David Bromberg, Leo Kottke, Shawn Colvin, Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks, Irish Christmas in America, Tannahill Weavers (with Manran), Taj Mahal, Sarah Jarosz and I know I gotta be missing something.  Our next concert won't be until January and I believe my friend Sylvia will also be at that one.  We'll be seeing the Grascals.

But last night's concert was Beausoleil and they were just terrific.  So much fun to listen to that I was smiling the whole time (even though I didn't understand most of the words since there was a lot of French Cajun going on).  The last time a group made me smile so much was when I saw Manran for the first time.  A bunch of young Scottish boys who made the accordion look cool which I thought would be nearly impossible.  But once again, I didn't understand much of what they were saying since it was mostly Gaelic.  If Manran ever comes back to town, I highly recommend you go see them. You won't be sorry.  Now, if only the Civil Wars would get back together....

And, as an added treat, I met a fellow blogger that I have been following for quite awhile.  Bruce Taylor of Oddball Observations.  He and his wife (SWMBO) sat right behind us and I recognized him since he uses a fair amount of selfies on his blog.  I have a very bad memory for names (unless it's a dog) but I have a pretty good memory for faces so I recognized him right off the bat.
