My sewing guild has made a quilt to donate to Glencroft Retirement Community. Every March, Glencroft has a quilt auction and some of the proceeds are used as financial assistance to residents who have depleted their personal resources. Last year, Glencroft made over $150,000 in the auction.
The quilt we decided to make had a southwest theme and members were required to either hand or machine embroider a quilt block, paint a block or applique a block. We named our quilt, Southwest Travels.
Another member of our guild was working on her own quilt but got tired of it so donated it to the guild to finish. Hers in the pink and green one seen in the photos below.
